Easy Takeoff with the Touch of a Pen
- Save time by using an integrated digitizer with eCaliper. One touch of a pen calculates a point. Two points give you the length of a line; three or more points can determine the area. The eCaliper digitizing solution integrates with most industry standard digitizer products, including the GTCO line of digitizers.
Quickly mount a drawing and digitize all the project dimensions into the eCaliper takeoff quantity fields. eCaliper also handles some of the more difficult problems encountered in digitizing such as cutouts and special situations. |
eCaliper displays your digitized image during the digitizing process. This allows you to visually inspect your digitized image plus print or plot the image as desired since the image is stored as part of the project takeoff. Some estimators view the image of their takeoff in different colors as they produce their bid to ensure that they digitize all the necessary quantities. |
Integrate all of your digitized values with eCaliper's built in calculator or into your formulas with the assembly builder and crew builder functions. Your efficiency during the takeoff process is our objective with eCaliper. |
Digitizer Menus
- Most contractors that utilize eCaliper create digitizer menus that contain all their routine keystrokes. Organize access to the data you require routinely such as resource item codes, old estimates, model estimates, and other similar data elements.
Common operations on your data such as creation of new records, duplications, access of last record or previous record, reports, and calculations can also be placed on your digitizer menu. |
This set up avoids the necessity to keep switching back and forth from your digitizer to your keyboard. |

Store the Digitized Image
- Another advantage of eCaliper is that our digitizing interface actually stores the digitized image you create while taking off a plan.
Plot the final results of your digitized takeoff in hard copy to use as a checking device with the original plans to ensure accuracy. |
Since your image is stored, you can print or plot the image when you complete the takeoff or at a later date when necessary. |
